The Eastern Snake River Plain Aquifer (ESRA) system is an extensive and regionally significant source of groundwater in southeast Idaho, as well as a major contributing source of flow to the Snake River. The ESRA is highly productive and regional groundwater flow is generally from east to west. 1River miles are measured in the center of the stream starting at the mouth and going upstream. The Boise River enters the Snake River miles upstream from the mouth of the Snake River which is located at Columbia River mile That is, the mouth of the Boise River is miles upstream from the Pacific _Ocean. 2. The environmental exposure concentrations of PAHs in the surface waters from seven major river basins in China are summarized in Fig. 2. Among different river basins, the geometric mean concentration of PAHs in the Huaihe River Basin was the highest ( ng/L), whereas that in the Haihe River Basin was the lowest ( ng/L).Cited by:

RECONNAISSANCE OF THE CHEMICAL QUALITY OF SURFACE WATERS OF THE SAN ANTONIO RIVER BASIN, TEXAS ABSTRACT The kinds and quantities of minerals dissolved in surface waters of the San Antonio Aiver basin are related principally to the geology of the area and to rainfall and streamflow characteristics.

Municipal and industrial. CHEMICAL QUALITY OF SURFACE WATERS OF THE SAN JACINTO RIVER BASIN, TEXAS The investigation of the chemical quality of the surface waters of the San Jacinto River Basin, Texas, is part of a statewide reconnaissance study.

This report is the third in a series presenting the results of the study and sum- maries of available chemical-quality data.

Records for the Brazos River show that the salinity of the water was a problem even as early as and that the water more often than not failed to meet today's chemical-quality standards for a municipal supply. The salt load of the Brazos River comes from the entire basin and is the result of solution, accretion of undetermined amounts of.

Proportions of the major chemical constituents in the rivers of the basin were nearly constant despite concentration fluctuations in response to dilution from precipitation and snowmelt.

River-water quality was generally excellent, as evaluated against Washington State water use and water-quality criteria.
